The Orb , a Mediterranean river in Languedoc , has its source in the Escandorgue mountains, at Mont Bouviala (Aveyron), commune of Le Clapier.
This river runs over 136 km but only 35 km can be navigable. The Orb reaches Béziers where he meets the Canal du Midi and throws himself into the Mediterranean Sea at the seaside resort of Valras Plage.

TheOrb is the only Mediterranean river to offer canoe or kayak trips over 2 and 3 days.
The hikes offered by Canoë Roquebrun take place in the Haut Languedoc Regional Natural Park, which ensures wild and preserved nature both in terms of fauna and flora.
The canoe trips are therefore structured and basic but natural arrangements are made in the specific bivouac locations , for those who prefer the wild side of the vacation...
There is also the possibility for fans of hot showers to go camping or rent a guest room for more comfort. The region has it and the Tourist Office will inform you about the different holiday accommodation.
The organization of Canoe Roquebrun is designed to give you maximum flexibility and security. Your car is still where you spend the night. Therefore, there is no overload in the canoes and you can always move around in case the morning butter is missing!

1st day le Poujol in Tarassac
2 nd day : Tarassac in Roquebrun .
This hike is done upstream of Roquebrun over two days and over 26 km.
The organization is the same as for both days.

The hikes depart in the morning. After presenting yourself at the reception of the Roquebruncanoe base, we will take you to the start of the route. Your car will follow the shuttle and will be left on the path, at the bivouac.
The second day you arrive in Roquebrun at the end of the afternoon and we will take you back to collect your vehicle.
For a pleasant vacation, don't pack too much into the canoes, leave the excess in the car with the tents, the sleeping bags and above all think about drinking water.

Your rental base on theOrb : Canoë Roquebrun
“Canoe Roquebrun ”, the canoe, kayak and paddle base is located at the entrance to the town of Roquebrun , just before the bridge on the left, on the Chemin de Laroque.
This small family business has been established in this small village since 1986. It has access to a body of water that theOrb has kindly deployed at the foot of the village.
Take a break of la guinguette
This is also installed there " la guinguette du Canoe " where young and old gourmands can taste an ice cream or eat a tray of delicious fries while sipping a fruit juice or ½.
Its terrace on the Orb gives you a breathtaking view of the bridge and the village and you can from your seat admire the vacationers arriving by canoe, kayak and paddle on the rental base.
This snack bar is open at any time from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. After this time a restaurant is offered to you until 10 p.m.
